Constellations

A constellation is a group of stars sufficiently close to each other to have led civilizations to trace between them imaginary lines which form figures in the sky.

Stars of a constellation can actually be very distant but, observed from the Earth, they seem to be gathered.

The vault of heaven is divided into 88 constellations defining zones with precise borders, to which any point of the sky belongs :
